Honlon actually has three personalities at once, as she has three heads in her dragon form. They share a body and certain emotions, like loneliness, but each head has a different way of dealing with things.
Shuko is the rational one, and is usually the peace-maker between the other two heads. She is calm and collected, and helps Chris if he has a dilemma.
Kanan is the hot-tempered one. She often shouts and maims when she doesn't get her way, and is easily annoyed by weakness (even in Chris).
Junrei is the childish one. Of all the personalities, she is the most exuberant, but also cries easily when she's upset. She's always very happy to see Chris and his friends.

Honlon hatched in the chapter 'Dragon'. Count D accidentally sold the egg to a customer, and had to retrieve it since if it would hatch, it would destroy the whole city because the dragon would be very large. Count D and Leon go to retrieve the egg, and, in a race against time, Count D hands the egg over to Leon so he can throw it over the ocean, where it hatches without bringing harm to the city. Count D says to Leon that he's the father, and Leon is the mother of the dragon.
The egg had as a nature to adapt to what the holder of the egg imagines is within the egg. Since she's been held by three people, Honlon has three different personalities. Count D imagined a rainbow dragon (Shuko), the customer's son he accidentally sold it to thought it was a turtle, or something cute (Junrei), and Leon thought it was a Western dragon (Kanan). They each have something of the holder's personalities in them. For instance, Junrei is eager and excited easily, Kanan is easily angered (like Leon XD), and Count D is calm and collected, like Shuko.
In the chapter 'December', Honlon returns, in her human form. She is located in a large room of the petshop, but she is sad because nobody ever comes to visit her. Eventually, Honlon is adopted by Chris, and Honlon finds herself friends with her new owner, and is no longer alone.

Chris Orcot: Honlon cares greatly for Chris, which may be partially due to her heritage, with both traces of Leon and D within. She is rather bipolar due to her three personalities, and it freaks Chris out a little, but he is still kind to her and regards her as a very good and wise friend and advisor.
Pon-chan: Honlon and Pon-chan have some sort of rivalry between them, when it comes to Chris' attention. Though they both see him as a friend, they asked him one time which pet he thought was 'cutest' of the petshop. Naively, Chris replied 'Q-chan'. Honlon and Pon-chan are quite similar, but do not really hang around each other until Chris decides to visit Honlon.
