Toutetsu, or T-chan, the dangerous and extremely rare animal residing in the petshop. The Toutetsu is said to be part goat, part lion, and have the head of a human. Rumours say that he also lives of human flesh... Toutetsu is indeed a fierce animal, focused biting humans. If not out of anger, then just for fun.

Full Name: Unknown. He is referred to as T-chan, Tet-chan, or Toutetsu, though.

Age: Unknown.
Family: None. He is said to be one of the last of his kind.
Eyes: Yellow.
Hair: Red.
Occupation: None. Off the record, he chooses to protect Chris and the other inhabitants of the petshop.
Likes: Human flesh, Chris, fighting, flesh of a vegetarian.
Dislikes: Leon, having to put up with human behaviour, being restrained, crying.
Appearance: T-chan always wears some sort of eastern-style vest and puffy pants, which make his exquisite nature and rarity even clearer. He has scruffy pinkish red hair, and wide yellow eyes. He also has fangs, and curled horns atop of his head, even in his human form.

Toutetsu is a very rash individual, and makes decisions on the spur of the moment. He very often wants to bite Leon when he's yelling at the Count, or simply because he is bored. He is quick to judge and often swears and says other rude words, which Count D undoubtedly frowns upon with Chris around.


He's very proud and boastful, and doesn't like to see others (such as Chris) he cares about anything less than happy. When Chris cries after he hurt his knee, Toutetsu yells at him, because it's his own fault.


He cares a lot about his friends, though he would never admit it. He cares a lot for Chris, and has become sort of his watchdog (read: a snarling goat-beast).

All that is known about Toutetsu's story is what we know from the manga chapter 'Dessert'. Here, Toutetsu is first introduced to Count D, and he has the disguise of a Chinese man named Mr. Wong, a chef with a taste for the exquisite and Asian cuisine. He finds a similar spirit in Count D, who is lured in by his pastries. In the end, Mr. Wong is revealed to wish to eat Count D. However, he is captured by Leon Orcot before this can happen. Leon later tells Count D that Mr. Wong chewed through his straight-jacket and pulled out his own heart. However, later Count D is seen carrying a Toutetsu in his hands...


There is much uncertainty whether Mr. Wong really was the Toutetsu's persona, as Mr Wong was decidedly more calm and patient as Toutetsu, who wants to go in and bite people before thinking about the consequences.

Count D: When D first saw T-chan in his human form, he immediately knew that the person was an extremely rare animal. D was ready to sacrifice an arm and a leg to obtain this animal. Luckily, things didn't go quite that far. Toutetsu is very protective of the Count, always biting Leon (though part of it is probably for his own amusement XD) whenever he gets angry at the Count.

Leon Orcot: If Leon was asked which pet he disliked the most, it would be Tet-chan. Leon is always bitten and roared at by Tet-chan, and Leon isn't hesitant to return the favour, even if he sees the Toutetsu as an animal, not as his human image. Toutetsu is very protective of Count D and Chris, and sees Leon's rude comments (and shouts) as a threat to his friends. They are actually very similar, though neither of them see it - or prefer not to.

Q-chan: Tet-chan and Q-chan hang around each other because they both care a lot about Chris, and wish to protect him. Each in their own way, of course; Toutetsu wants Chris to get stronger and stop crying so often, while Q-chan wants to protect him from these kind of situations.

Chris Orcot: T-chan is one of Chris' best friends. While a Toutetsu generally likes humans only for their flesh, he is very protective of Chris, and sees him as his equal (more or less). They joke together - even though at times Chris is pretty clueless, so he doesn't realise he's being mocked - but it's all in good fun. Toutetsu wants to bite and even kill people who want to hurt Chris.
